17 unicorns in SEA

Did you know Unicorns are native to Singapore? =)

8 of the 17 glorious SEA Unicorns are based in Singapore.

>80% are B2C.

>70% are marketplaces.

40% are in e-commerce

30% are in fintech.

The rest are in logistics, AI, gaming and analytics.

In conclusion: to increase you chances of becoming a unicorn:

Move to Singapore, build a B2C marketplace preferably in the e-commerce space with some fintech component. Oh and you have around 8 years to make it.

What would be more insightful is when you start charting out the age of each company and how long it took for them to become a unicorn.

How many unicorns do you recognize?
