Watching the Tokyo Olympics highlights each day really injected some excitement and wonders in my life.

Italy’s Lamont Marcell Jacobs claims shock 100m gold to succeed Usain Bolt as world’s fastest man

I saw that the World’s fastest man can be Italian and burly, not Bolt-like or American and chiseled.

I saw Eliud Kipchoge of Kenya win his second Gold in the 42km marathon in such an effortless fashion.

I saw that Phelps swimming record can be beaten, by another American who broke barriers, shattered world records and dominated the swim races like no other.

Japan beat USA in Baseball 2–0

I saw the host country Japan beat America in Baseball — the very place it was invented in!

I saw a 15 year old Japanese win an Olympic Gold, 12 year old Japanese win Silver and a 13 year old Briton win Bronze for Skateboarding.

I saw a 14 year old Chinese diver make history by smashing the world record and scoring perfects 10s for 3 of her 5 dives.

I saw Neeraj Chopra throw a javelin 87.58m and win India’s first and only Gold medal in athletics.

I saw Jamaica do a clean sweep of the Women’s 100m sprint, 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Hidilyn Diaz win Philippines’ first ever Olympic Gold

I saw Hidilyn Diaz win Philippines’ first ever Olympic Gold in weightlifting and her inspiring journey towards that goal.

I saw San Marino, a nation of less than 35,000 people, win its first Olympic medal in shooting.

It is nothing short of remarkable what humans can acheive.

Then I recall that the Tokyo Olympics almost got cancelled due to Covid and the uproar it created when they announced that it was to proceed.

There is really no right answer to this. Either option is making history.

So tell me, are you not entertained by how things unfold and the remarkable feats humans have accomplished at the Tokyo Olympic 2020?
