Mental health is an important thing and we are talking about it more often now.
Everyone is talking about it today.
But we need to do more than talk.
Literally.
We need to learn how to identify it early and creatively think of ways to combat it before it worsens.
We need to be responsible for our own mental health.
No matter who you are, we all have stresses in our lives, work and family.
Too often, we cannot control what form those stresses manifests itself, but we can control how we deal with them.
Whether it’s reading a book, going for run or travelling, we all have different ways to destress.
Of course now with Covid, lockdowns and restrictions, there are some things we can’t do.
The lucky few can still hike beautiful mountains and others can enjoy the beaches.
Remember, it doesn’t have to be something big.
Even the small actions can do wonders and reset our mental overload.
I used sports and exercise as a way to “reset the day”.
Sometimes, that could be a nice cup of coffee.
Other times, it could be a browsing NFT art galleries or watching reruns of The Office.
Whatever it is, find what makes you happy, even for a second.
Stay strong people, Covid is almost over.
How do YOU clear your mind when you get stuck or feel overwhelmed?
