If you have heard of this news, you probably know it took quite a scary turn for the worse. From a wonderkid who has managed hundreds of employees, raised millions and serviced big clients…to being burnt on a stake and being called a fraud. Not quite the fairy tale ending, but its a painful reminder for us all to be more discerning.
I just don’t get how big news agencies, reporters and editors missed it. It wasn’t as if they were trying to see if a Covid vaccine actually works, having to speak to real sources, wait months for results and reports, interviewing doctors and medical experts .etc.
A simple google search revealed so many inconsistencies and falsities. The domains of the investor who invested in uber, deliveroo and airbnb were registered just months ago!
So while we paint Harsh as the bad guy, I think we should be equally critical and hard on the people who fueled the fire. They should not be allowed to remove the traces and move on, as if nothing wrong happened.
Let’s not call it a Singapore Theranos, as if its something glamorous to aspire for.
He is very young and we should be forgiving. But let’s not forget and be more discerning in the future.
