VeeFriends is GaryV’s own personal NFT brand.

I couldn’t believe it either.

Gary Vaynerchuk’s NFTs are worth $78m!

I went on OpenSea and searched his accounts to see what were in his NFT portfolio.

Azuki, BAYC, Cryptopunks, Mutants, Doodles, Dungeons, CryptoSkulls

He paid $265k (100 ETH) for CryptoSkull #70.

For CryptoPunk #6633, he spent $316k (119 ETH).

He dropped $61k for Doodle #7020 and $53k for Doodle #9173.

He has hundreds of NFTs in his portfolio.

I guess you can call him a serious NFT trader, placing big bets in this growing community.

According to DappRadar, these are the following celebrities’ NFT net worth:

Gary Vaynerchuk $78.4m

Snopp Dogg $13.1m

Alexis Ohanian $5.2m

Logan Paul $4.1m

Steve Aoki $4.1m

Post Malone $1.5m

Mark Cuban $953k

Beeple $930k

Neymar $833k

DJ Marshmello $805k

In the last month alone, Gary, Snoop and ALexis added millions to their NFT portfolio.

More and more celebrities are entering the NFT scene.

Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Justin Bieber, Heidi Klum (supermodel), Eva Longoria all recently gotten their hands on NFTs.

This raises a few questions to the ones who are cogent and thinking.

Do the celebrities maketh the NFT or is it the other way round?

Does the value of the NFT rises because a celebrity owns it?

Or is valuable intrinsically and that is why celebrities buy them?

Whatever it is, it is going to be hard to discern in the swirling, growing vortex of NFTs and crypto.

Remember that people are randomly sending NFTs and “airdropping” them to high-profile celebrities in hopes to raise publicity for the NFTs.

Such is the “pain” of the blockchain and crypto world.

Everything is decentralised so there is no middleman to “block” or filter who sends what to your wallet.

That is why scams are so prevalent in the NFT world.

Imagine this:

A perp “airdrops” some NFTs to celebrities, then go around sharing that those celebrities actually own, bought and endorses that NFT.

They get clout, publicity and suck in many people who are fooled by these antics.

People, not savvy or just being too gullible and new to the space, actually believes it and buys the NFTs.

Then the perp rugpulls and walks away with the cash (or tokens).

It really a simple scam that is repeated over and over again just the last few months.

Be sharp, don’t jump into projects just because of FOMO and when in doubt, don’t.
