Kim Kardashian went to Harvard and people aren’t happy.

Kim K spoke at Harvard and people got jelly.

People are slamming Kim Kardashian for boasting about her lecture at Harvard Business School.

Not sure why but 30,000 people liked her Tweet.

Or more like castigating HBS for allowing Kim to guest lecture at the hallowed grounds of academic royalty.

“Kardashian visited HBS in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Friday with Skims co-founder Jens Grede to talk to students about the shapewear company for nearly two hours as a part of a direct-to-consumer seminar.”

Do you see anything wrong here?

I don’t quite get it.

What’s wrong with being a guest lecture?

Harvard didn’t claim she would cure cancer or turn their students into 400 IQ geniuses.

They merely invited a billionaire to share about her story.

All schools do the same thing.

Pepperdine University invited Elizabeth Holmes to speak at their April 2015 commencement ceremony!

New York Times invited Sam Bankman-Fried for an exclusive interview after FTX imploded.

Even the wonderkid SBF got to speak at a NYT exclusive interview after FTX collapsed.

Ok that was not super relevant, but you get the point.

I think Harvard did a bold and smart move.

They had the reputation and network to get such a famous character to guest lecture.

And they milked it.

Why wouldn’t they?

Great publicity, good for the students and now they are friendlier with Kim Kardashian, one of the most recognizable female billionaires in the world.

Wouldn’t hurt their chances at all.

Did someone say “charitable donations from Kim to Harvard”?

Kim Kardashian’s underwear and loungewear brand SKIMS has a valuation of $3.2B.

She is worth $1.8B and has done a lot more than the average entrepreneur.

I would listen to whatever she has to say.

At least out of curiosity.

Skims, a loungewear company co-founded by Kim, is worth billions.

No no, not to be bestowed with heavenly wisdom in the kingdom of business and undies.

No for the intellectual, academic papers that she have written.

I would listen for her journey.

Her story and experiences as a founder, a model, a mother, a creative content creator, hit reality TV star and everything in between.

We all know she didn’t do it alone.

So who did she team up with?

How did she select and network with those that could potentially help her grow even bigger?

How does she approach the continual expansion of her empire?

Do you even care if Kim guest lectured at Harvard?

We all know she ain’t a Rhodes Scholar or a Doctorate.

We all know about her sordid past, hyper-socialite status and “bimbotic” behaviour.

But she is also a tremendously successful entrepreneur, one of the few self-made female billionaires and a master of adaptation.

She has adapted to the times consistently,

Remember, she was Paris Hilton’s assistant and stylish before she made it big.

And now, she is on equal or higher economic and social status than Paris!

She has a reality TV show, her own beauty and fragrance businesses, acted in Hollywood movies, her thriving loungewear business, her own investment firm and plenty of other ventures.

I would love to listen to her business experiences.

The bimbo and frivolous stuff that she says on her reality TV shows?

Not so much.

But we all know she is deliberately putting on an act for TV right?

Right?
