13% more than 2020.
It sold 7,430 units in 2020.
And 8,205 units in 2019.
They made 1.6B euros in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic.
Perhaps people had nowhere to travel and could spend more on cars?
Oh and Ferrari ain’t too shabby either.
They ship 8,400 units annually!
Numbers don’t lie.
Consumers love a tall, presumably safer, spacious SUV over a supercar.
The blocky SUV that Lamborghini named Urus, outsold their flagship V12 Aventador by more than 6 times.
Imagine you are well known for making sleek, sexy, luxurious supercars that can seat only 2.
And I were to tell you to produce an SUV.
Typically for families who has children, pets and prams to ferry around.
Would you do it?
Well, every other supercar brand made one.
Because consumers want it.
Price point still matters.
The Huracan is colloquially known as the “Baby Aventador”.
It is smaller in dimensions, still seats 2, has a V10 instead of the Aventador’s booming V12, but its arguably much quicker due to the ***dual-***clutch gearbox called the Lamborghini Doppia Frizione.
And it is half the cost of an Aventador, no wonder sales is 3 times more.
For the fans, they just released the Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica!
V-10, rear-wheel drive with 600+ hp, it is sleek, if you can afford it.
Oh and remember a few years back when electric cars were the new kids on the block?
Everyone was kicking them down.
Today, every car manufacturer has an EV or big plans for it.

Lamborghini is going to unveil its EV plans real soon.
They already tested the market with the Sián FKP 37.
The CEO Stephan Winkelmann “confirms all Lambos will be plug-in hybrid by 2024”.
My prediction is that if they electrify the Urus, sales will double.
