One product

Seems unreal.

You must have seen this graphic floating around but in case you haven’t, let me share why this is so mind-blowing. With just ONE product, Apple made $23B in revenue last year.

That’s more than what Square, Twitter, Shopify and Snapchat made, combined!

To really put things into perspective, consider this: those $23B are just from one product, their Airpods.

Yup, we used to laugh at how it seems like cut-off ear pieces and how odd it looks. They sold 110m Airpods in 2020 alone.

For heaven’s sake, its the Airpods.

A tiny device that is an accessory to the iPhone, that many have ripped-off and doesn't seem to have the status of an Apple glamour product.

Who’s buying them?

Are people getting them for personal use? Birthday gifts? Corporate presents?

So yes, just one product from almighty Apple is nearly what Netflix makes in a year, almost comparable to what Telsa rakes in, and that is not even their most popular product.

Apple generated a total of $274B revenue in 2020, 50% came from iPhone sales.

That’s 194m iPhones.

Their branding is really phenomenal and their product quality speaks for itself.

I am really in marvel of Apple’s omnipotent and ever-growing branding.

5 years ago, if you suggested to me that Apple could make a hit out of ear pods, I would have laughed.

So the next time you hear about someone pitching a product or hardware idea, don’t be too quick to dismiss them.

Then again, they don’t have the magical powers and god-like branding of Apple. =)
