Smooth af.

Tech is everything in modern warfare.

We can track the Russian army’s movement on Google map.

The teen that was tracking Elon’s private jet is now tracking Russian Oligarchs!

Smartphones are “accidentally” and actively giving up geolocational information for savvy citizens to track and monitor.

We can watch 24/7 live cameras on various spots of Ukraine.

Tiktok influencers are our reporters on the ground.

Micro-content of live news on the conflict is fast, easy and direct to consumers.

Wikipedia: Volunteer editors are working to keep details of the invasion timely and accurate.

Elon Musk’s Starlink has reached Ukraine after their vice PM asked him on Twitter to provide internet service via SpaceX’s satellite array.

BP and Shell, two of the petrochemical industry titans have pulled out of Russia.

We are talking abandoning billions of dollars of investments and future earnings.

Apple, one of the biggest tech company in the world, has declared to stop selling any products in Russia.

Anonymous, the infamous (and honestly scary hacker group) has openly waged war on Russia.

In the cyber world, hackers have rallied behind Ukraine and are taking down Russian sites.

Polkadot’s co-founder Gavin Wood just sent $5.8m worth of DOT tokens to Ukraine.

To be clear, he promised $5m just a day ago but threw in another million just because.

What. A. Hero.

Gavin is the co-founder of ETH and DOT.

On a side note, this is why crypto is the inevitable future.

Imagine, a day ago, the Ukrainian Government didn’t know about DOT.

They tweeted for donations.

Gavin saw it and responded.

Ukraine simply set up a DOT wallet and BOOM.

Just like that.

$5.8m worth of DOT was sent in an instant.

No fuss.

No waiting time.

No exorbitant transaction fees.

No permission.

No visas or agreements needed.

We balk at bad actors abusing crypto, but let’s acknowledge that crypto has it’s place in the world too.

In such dire times of crisis and war, I salute you Gavin.

The Ukrainian Government has raised about $37m so far and Gavin’s touch is easily more than 13.5%.

Naysayers said he was taking the opportunity to promote DOT.

Erm, if you are literally donating millions of dollars at your own free will, please use ANY form or way you deem fit.

As the co-founder of Polkadot, it’s natural to use DOT.

DOT, like ETH or BTC is just another cryptocurrency.

Take it, convert it to any cryptocurrency you want or sell it for cash by all means!

Plus DOT has one of the lowest transaction fees out there amongst the popular cryptocurrencies.

Makes me wonder how much he is worth.

A whopping $450m.

That’s because he is also the co-founder of Ethereum.

Respect.

When all is over, I hope Ukrainians never forget who were the ones who actually came to their aid and rescue in their most dire of times.

The war may be fought with bombs and bullets, but it will be won or loss on technology and social media.
