The all-new Ferrari 296 GTB

When I say Ferrari, what comes to your mind? Roaring big V12 engines, loud and sleek super car look?

Ferrari just unveiled their latest car and 2 things surprises me. Its has a V6 engine in it and is a electrical hybrid. Not the typical V10 or V12 monster found in most of their supercars.

Ferrari calls it the 296 GTB. With more than 800 horsepower and tiny 2.9 liter engine, it is the only V6 Ferrari in production.

Remember when supercar companies like Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Maserati and even Ferrari frowned on SUVs?

They ate their words and each made SUV models under their brands. Ferrari, perhaps soon?

Remember when they frowned at the idea of having their legendary supercars powered by electrical motors?

They are now eating their own words again and producing electrical hybrids for their supercar brands now.

Just take a look how many are there recently!

McLaren Artura

Lotus Evija

Aston Martin Rapide E

Audi R8 E-Tron

Porsche Taycan

Lamborghini Terzo

Somehow, just a few years back, none of them would even entertain the notion of fully electric supercars after seeing the Telsa Roadster, much less a blasphemous Frankenstein hybrid engine.

Don’t fight the market. Don’t try to swim against the current.

They say the customers are always right, they just didn’t say when.

So listen and observe where the market and demands are before plotting your next move.
