“You are 1 TikTok away from a new business/product/venture”.

That’s what Gary Vaynerchuk said.

Do you agree?

Perhaps there is a strong case for it.

See in most cases, it is difficult to justify starting a TikTok account if your business is not in the domain of B2C or direct to consumers.

The stigma is that TikTok only appeals to teens who takes on those ridiculous dance challenges and absurd meme videos.

If you are selling cybersecurity for corporates or a sales CRM, what is the value of exposing your brand to consumers who live on TikTok?

Well, have you heard of Miss Excel on TikTok?

She has 1.4m likes and 742k followers.

She does exactly what her moniker says: she teaches you how to use Microsoft Excel.

It’s simple, she takes bite-sized videos of neat excel tricks and deliver them on TikTok.

Throw in some dance moves, good vibes and upbeat tunes = Voila!

She is one of the many rising influencers who discovered a new venture on TikTok.

She now teaches full courses and is expanding to other Microsoft products.

There are plenty of TikTok stars that went viral and made business ventures out of their popularity.

But even the big brands are jumping in.

Netflix, NFL, Red Bull, MTV, Chipotle, MAcDonald’s and Mediacorp.

The spread of industries are diverse and covers all spectrum.

But what about B2B companies?

Well, there is Adobe, Morning Brew, Shopify, Square, Zoom and Sage business software.

And more are piling in.

They are finding interest niche angles to insert themselves into the market.

They are working hard to run Tiktok challenges to go viral.

The key is “Niche Content”.

Gone were the days where you want everyone to know everything about everything you do.

In modern branding, you pick a hyper-niche and go a million feet deep into it.

So why does all of these work?

Simple.

Go where the ATTENTION is dwelling.

Not what reports are saying, not what experts are touting or what gurus are proclaiming.

Follow the live heartbeat of the actual users and see where they give their attention to.

It used to be Vine long ago, then Snapchat become hot, then Clubhouse rose to the top.

Now, it’s Tiktok’s turn.

So if you are thinking “Ah Tiktok is cool, but not really for my businesses though…”.

Think again.

You might just be 1 TikTok away from something amazing.
